Technically based on the SAFETY-SWITCH LiPo, the SAFETY-
SWITCH LiPo TwinBatt offers the additional safety of an
integral battery backer for use with two receiver batteries. If
one battery should fail, the second pack assumes the role
of power supply for the receiving system. The system is of
duplicated construction, i.e. for maximum security each of the
two power supply paths contains its own electronic switch, its
own separate voltage regulator and a separate voltage monitor
for each battery. This makes it easy for the user to identify a
faulty receiver battery, or a pack approaching the end of its
useful life, and replace it in good time.
The SAFETY-SWITCH LiPo TwinBatt is intended for use in all
types of model aircraft of medium size, e.g.*
bull; Power models up to about 2.2 m wingspan 5 - 8 kg
all-up weight, with 5 - 6 servos
bull; Gliders up to about 5 m wingspan, with 8 - 10 servos
bull; Model helicopters up to around .60 - .90 8 - 10S class
